Directions and notes

Nice downhill run with some flat bits, fast open smooth bits, rough rocky bits (bring a tube and kit just in case) and steep technical sections with a few bits of single track thrown into the mix. Practically flatland and downhill all the way. Expect to take 10 - 20 mins to complete.

Great ride - although I went further south along the ridge then back to Old Proctors Rd along an old, now narrow twisty fire trial. What's with all the old wrecks just out of Ridgeway?

Edit: I've been asked for more precise details so here we go:

When on Bramble street, keep going straight ahead and you will go up a short ascent. Go over this crest and turn left at the major fork in the track (it has a stone "V" built in the middle. This will take you to a gate that has a sign saying "No entry to unauthorised vehicles without permission" or something. The track on the other side of this gate goes all the way to the horse riding place near kingston. There are heaps of different tracks that can be taken from the top of the hill, including the one i have plotted. If you are unfamiliar with the tracks, you should prob follow the major fire trail past the horse riding place. If you keep a good lookout, a kilometer or two past the switchback at the horse riding place you will see a single trail drop off to the right (marked with blue tape on a couple of trees) which will take you to the fire trail that ends on the gravel road that goes under the highway just south of the lea.
