Turn left at the junction where the marker is and park your car on the edge of the air strip. Ride back out to where the marker is and turn left, follow the main track which is mainly downhill, really rocky, some open and tight turns. You will come around a left hander and across a bridge. Push your bike up the steep hill and and keep following the main track, slightly uphill but rideable. As you come over the crest of the hill thre is an opening to the right. It is and old quarry, drops and steep gravels faces everywhere. After you have finished there come back to the main track and keep following it. Heads downhill and there will be an open area to your right (okay for a play around) as your sweep to the left and uphill. As you get to the top of the hill you are now in the CBD of Balfour keep folowing the main road untill you get to an opening with a phone tower. There is a small track signed, "cemetary track". This is were the real fun starts, a good 5 minute descent of single track winding down the smooth loamy, clay and the odd rocksection to the river.
